Findings suggest that the combination of visual accessories (glasses), digital aesthetics, and a media‑driven emphasis on self‑branding intensifies a cycle of performative self‑objectification, while simultaneously offering avenues for empowerment and economic agency. The paper concludes with recommendations for media literacy interventions and further research on gendered visual symbolism in Southeast Asian digital cultures.
