The mason’s tools—hammers, mallets, saws, chisels, setting-out tools, and hoisting appliances—have changed relatively little over the centuries. The Moors, having control over parts of Spain andNorth Africa for centuries, were custodians of ancient knowledge in science, architecture, and mysticism.

The Moors, who were Muslim inhabitants of the Maghreb region, had a significant impact on architecture in the regions they influenced, particularly in Spain, North Africa, and the Middle East. Their architectural style, often referred to as Moorish architecture, is characterized by the use of arches, domes, minarets, and intricate geometric patterns. The Alhambra in Granada, Spain, and the Mezquita (Mosque-Cathedral) in Córdoba, Spain, are famous examples of Moorish architectural achievements.

The narrative extends into the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The founder of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Noble Drew Ali (born Timothy Drew), is said to have been the son of two African Americans who studied under a Sufi master adept, Jamal ad-Din al-Afghani. Noble Drew Ali himself reportedly traveled to North Africa, studied with Moorish scholars, and received initiation at the Pyramid of Cheops. Returning to the US in 1913, he organized the Moorish Science Temple along lines similar to Masonic lodges, teaching esoteric wisdom he claimed was derived from a secret circle of Eastern masters. The teachings of this movement are sometimes framed as a counterbalance to Freemasonry, which some within the tradition see as a usurped and corrupted form of the original Moorish wisdom.

      Hey Mirko,

I’m also using a Q77 chipset with an i7-3770 cpu. I can’t see health data either but I do see the warning ‘This system has no IPMI capabilities, you may need to install a driver to enable sensor data to be retrieved.’

      Cheers
